Let’s normalize that the hard stuff can and does so often coexist with the good. There can be both. One can sort of overpower the other, and they’re all perfectly normal and acceptable.
This time of year can be both happy and hard at the same time. We are dealing with the hustle and bustle, the peace and joy, and also the happy and the hard. A lot of people have lost a family member and are experiencing the holidays without their loved ones. For me, this year I am experiencing my first holiday season without both of her parents. I share some raw, and somewhat hidden emotions about how I am feeling this Christmas and how I am enjoying the happy times and reflecting on the hard times.
